**Title: Leo the Lion’s Polite Roar**
Once upon a time, in a jungle filled with giggling monkeys, stomping elephants, and hopping zebras, there lived a lion named Leo. Leo LOVED to roar. **“ROOOAR!”** He’d roar to wake up the sun. **“ROOOAR!”** He’d roar to shake coconut trees. **“ROOOAR!”** He’d even roar just to see his friends leap into bushes!
“Why are you so *roary*, Leo?” asked Milly the Monkey one day, hanging upside-down from a vine.
“Because I’m the LOUDEST!” Leo grinned. “ROOO—*ahem*.” Suddenly, his roar sounded like a squeaky mouse. **“Squeak! Squeak!”**
Milly snorted. “Your roar’s gone funny!”
Leo’s cheeks turned red. He tried roaring at a mango tree to make fruit fall. **“Squeakity-squeak!”** The mangoes stayed put, but the monkeys laughed so hard they *fell* out of the tree! “Oops,” said Leo, his tummy rumbling.
Milly whispered, “Maybe try *asking nicely*?”
Leo sighed. “Um… **please**, mangoes?”
The monkeys giggled. “Not the mangoes—*us*!” said Milly. “Here, catch!” They tossed him a juicy mango.
“Thank you!” Leo said, surprised. Then he trotted to the river, where Zara the Zebra was sipping water. “**Squeak!** Move, I’m thirsty!” he demanded.
Zara stamped her hoof. “Say *please*!”
“PLEEEASE?” Leo grumbled.
Zara smiled. “Better! Share with me?”
As they drank, Leo’s roar came back—**“ROOOAR!”**—but this time, he spotted storm clouds! “**ROOOAR!** Hurry, everyone! Rain’s coming!” The animals raced to his cozy cave, where they shared berries, giggled at Leo’s squeaky sneezes, and stayed dry.
**Moral**: Leo learned that “please” and “thank you” are stronger than a roar… but a *friendly* ROAR can be handy too!
The end. 🦁💕
**Lesson for kids**: Kind words (and a little silliness!) make everyone feel happy and safe.
